The problem with powder
Airborne powder can carry proteins and irritants, and in clinical settings residue has been associated with complications. Regulators in several markets restricted or banned powdered examination gloves as a result.
What replaced it
Modern powder-free gloves use polymer coatings or chlorination to make donning easy without loose particulate. The result is a cleaner glove with no meaningful compromise in comfort.
